Borovets is the oldest & the biggest mountain resort in Bulgaria in terms of length and capacity of ski runs and lifts.

It’s situated at 1300 m altitude on the northern slopes of Rila Mountain, at the very foot of Mussala peak. It’s easily accessible from all over the country: 70 km. away from the capital – Sofia and 120 km. away from Plovdiv.

The winter in the resort is mild and snowy. The resort offers excellent conditions for winter sports: alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country as well as variety of opportunities for summer months – horse riding, mountain bike etc. In the summer the resort is a favorite vacation spot for nature-lovers and starting point of many hiking routes in Rila Mountain.
